Kolkata: National level human rights and social activist which from Assam in the national award ceremony organized by World Book of Star Records and Alternative Medicine Development Institute of India in Kolkata. Dr Dibyajyoti Saikia was honored with the Banga Gaurav Samman. The award was given in recognition of his outstanding work in the field of humanity and human rights. He was awarded today at a function held at Hotel Taj in Kolkata. He was presented with a trophy, certificate, memento shawl and bouquet of flowers as part of the award. The program felicitated those people from different backgrounds who have achieved exceptional talent in their respective fields. Chief guest Chandra Kumar Bose (grandson of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose), special guest Pradeep Ghosh and special guest Padmashri Niranjan Gausami were the guests. were present the coordinator of this prestigious award ceremony Dr. Rajeev Pal said that the main objective of this national level Awards is to celebrate the Bengali culture and honor the extraordinary talent, which is the place to fulfill the dream of our country in the best possible way and bring the real and special talent to the front of the country. is Know that Dr. Dibyajyoti  Saikia has been spending his life making people aware of humanity and peace for the past more then two decades. Since 1999, social worker Dr. Saikia made a history by starting work against witch superstition since 2009. He traveled among the tribes in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra to create awareness against superstitions and evils.

  He has so far received Bhupen Hazarika National Peace Award, Maulana Azad National Award, Nelson Mandela National Award, Babu Jagjivanram Smriti Award, Bharatiya Surya Award, Tilka Manjhi National Award, National Gaurav Icon Award, Veer Abdul Hamid Karona Yodhya Award, Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award More than a hundred awards have been awarded.
