December 9th, 2023, Kolkata– The stage was set, the spotlight glimmered, and the Royal
Bengal Room in Kolkata became the epicenter of an extraordinary convergence of art,
innovation, and style. The International Institute of Fashion Technology (INIFT) and The
National Designer Business Club (NDBC) hosted the illustrious "INDIANA FASHION SHOW,"
a celebration that flawlessly blended cultural richness with cutting-edge creativity in association
with Kolkata Airhostess Academy.

This captivating affair witnessed the presence of luminaries from the world of fashion and
entertainment. The chief guest, Interior Architect, Mr. Ajit Jain, Chairperson of ABID, added his
esteemed presence, elevating the event’s significance. Renowned celebrity Ms. Richa Sharma
graced the event, adding a touch of glamor to the event. The showstopper, influencer celeb
Lopamudra Mandal, mesmerized the audience with her stunning presence. Esteemed
personalities from the industry, such as fashion maestros Indroneel Mukherjee, Debarun
Mukherjee, Santanu Guha Thakurta, Pinky Dutt, and Gita Dutt, alongside brands like Embellish,
Saroj Jalan, and Bengal Jewellery, made the event a gathering of true luminaires.
The heart of this showcase, however, pulsated with the innovation and dedication of 20 aspiring
fashion designers and 20 interior decoration students from INIFT. Their creations, meticulously
crafted from sustainable materials, embodied the ethos of ‘Reduced, Recycled, Reused,’
emphasizing a commitment to sustainability and ingenuity. Each garment showcased the
transformative power of waste materials like denim, cotton, and georgette, elevating the concept
of fashion with a conscious touch.
The theme of "INDIANA" encapsulated the bold exploration of Indian fashion design culture,
intertwining tradition with avant-garde elements. From utilizing indigenous handloom fabrics to
presenting unconventional themes inspired by seasons, recycled materials, and architectural
marvels, each sequence narrated a tale of creativity and purpose.
Highlighting the event was the prestigious "NDBC India & National Designer Award,"
symbolizing INIFT's dedication to nurturing budding talent in the fashion industry. This award
serves as a beacon for emerging designers, fostering a platform where ideas and unique design
concepts find their voice amidst industry professionals and influencers. 

Mr. Samarendra, the Director of INIFT, articulated, “It is a carefully curated platform crafted
to empower budding fashion designers, allowing them to unveil their collections and showcase
their exceptional talent. Our primary objective with the "INDIANA FASHION SHOW" is to

Kolkata, 15th December, 2023: Nephrocare India proudly completes two years of its thriving existence today. Regular 30 minutes of brisk walking keeps the kidneys healthy and keeping this in mind we organized ‘A walk for your kidney’ – A walkathon which was arranged with about 400 participants along with celebrities who matched their steps to spread the idea of this healthy practice.
